1.) No more chemically flavored microwave popcorn!

I picked up the Elite popcorn maker because every weekend, my friends and I do movies or watch Lost and other shows. We used to make popcorn out of the microwave, but I'd always either burn the popcorn or there would be like 40 kernels at the bottom of the bucket. But now, all I have to do is throw the kernels in the kettle and in five minutes we've got enough real movie style popcorn for all of us. But my favorite part is that during the middle of the movie when everyone wants seconds, I don't have to spend the time making another batch, the warmer keeps all of the popcorn in the bucket at an enjoyable temperature.

The Maxi-Matic EPM-250, i had found this popcorn popper very easy to use. It comes with measure tools to get the right amount of oil and popcorn. I am on a diet, that allows me to have a snack of 6 cups of popcorn after popping. This makes the right amount (small bag of movie size popcorn). After the unit cool down, just add 6 oz. of water and turn back on for a couple minutes to boil water. Let it cool down again and you can empty the water and wipe it clean. The tray, i wash with soap and water after each use. It was worth the money.
3.) So far so good

Got this for Christmas. Used it once with good results although I want to buy some of the pre-package popcorn/seasoning/oil packages to see how they work.
I followed the instructions that others have said on other machines (and the instructions) about turning it on to heat up and then adding oil and letting that heat up. The small openings make it difficult to get the unpopped corn in there. A scoop would be easier. I think most of the kernels popped. I had bought some popcorn seasoning at the store and put that and some salt on it once it came out and it tasted good. It made enough popcorn for one person (if you love popcorn). I guess I could have shared. :)
However, I don't know where the instructions are and I don't know how to properly clean the kettle out. It doesn't disconnect from the power source in order to put in the dishwasher. The Maxi-Matic website had no online instruction manuals so I had to email them.
Over all, for the price, this is a good popcorn popper. I'm one of those people who HAVE to have popcorn when I watch a movie.

It is a nice little popper--key word being little. It is ok for one person!
5.) Broken

Debated between this and the other at the same price point. Decided on this one since the larger Maxi-Matic had such great user reviews. I began to assemble it and realized the plastic upper-machinery had broken during shipping. Also, the plexi-glass door had scratched against the cardboard inserted to hold the removable pin during shipping and left a permanent unattractive line. Disappointing...
