I love this popper. I was looking for a way to make homemade kettle corn & this is it. It is so easy to use. My 12 yr old makes popcorn by himself and my younger kids love to crank the handle. For kettle corn I use 1/2 cup Orville popcorn, 1/4 c white sugar(brown makes caramel corn) and a little oil, sprinkle with salt before serving. Dump all together and put on burner. 5 mins later you have delicious kettle corn. I highly recommend this if you are tired of microwave and really want delicious homemade popcorn. A little FYI we have tried the popcorn kit it comes with, while it is good(a wee bit salty in spots) it's really not all that necessary. You get delicious popcorn using Orville's and a little butter drizzled on.

My husband is a pop corn holic, he could eat popcorn for a meal. Well, I read about this popper and bought it for him for Christmas. It is totally awesome. It pops the largest pieces and there is no kernels left in the pan, as with other methods. He loves it and so do I. Clean up is easy and do as the instructions say. We got the red pan and I like it alot. I am looking at the stainless steel one now. You will love the popcorn and the pkgs. they sell taste just like theater corn. Happy eating......

This popper is easy to use, takes only a couple minutes more than microwave, and tastes like real popcorn. YOu can control the oil, salt, and butter (yes, REAL butter), so you can make it as healthy or unhealthy as you'd like. Make sure you read the directions that come with it.

I have been using the popper for about a week and I really like it. I have only made kettle corn and it taste just like the guy at the fair. I am really happy with it except that it slightly scratches my glass top range.

This is my second Whirley Pop. The first was the standard silver one and we loved it. Well, my new kitchen is red so I decided to spring for a red one. I bought it from Target through Amazon.com. It arrived stuck in a cardboard box with no padding or protection. There were several scraches on the base where the silver showed through the red. The first time I used it on my gas stove, the red paint scratched off where the pan touched the burners. Very disappointed in the quality of the red one. I'm sticking with my old silver Whirley Ppo.

I was extremely disappointed upon receiving the Whirley-Popper. The design is flimsey and it was shoved in a box with no protection for shipping. By the time UPS had their way with it, it was bent to where the crank just fanned air.

I was also disappointed to see that the gears were plastic (not acceptable for heat).

They have a wonderful product that needs some manufacturing changes (metal gears) and improved packaging for shipping.

I sent mine back for a refund.
